About this resource

This is a capstone-level project. It assumes you can already read financial statements and calculate standard ratios. The work here is about integrating those skills into a coherent, structured analysis — the kind that has a clear argument and supports it with specific evidence.

The structure of the analysis

The project follows a 4-part framework: business overview, financial performance review, valuation, and a written opinion. Each part feeds the next — the business overview shapes which metrics matter most, and the valuation is anchored to the performance trends identified in part 2.

The company is selected from the Euronext Dublin listing and changes each cohort. You will work with 3 years of audited financials, 1 analyst report for reference, and the company's own investor presentations.

The written opinion

The final deliverable is a 1,200-word structured opinion. It does not require a buy or sell recommendation — it requires a reasoned, evidence-based view on the company's financial position and the key risks to that position.

Tutor feedback is provided on the written section, focusing on argument structure, use of evidence, and clarity — not on whether the conclusion is correct.

Realistic expectations

This project takes most participants 9 to 11 hours of focused work to complete well. Rushing the business overview section consistently produces weak valuations — the order of the framework matters.
